Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program
MAASIM, Sarangani (December 23, 2008) – DSWD Secretary Esperanza Cabral speaks on the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Monday,December 22. 4P is a poverty reduction strategy that provides grantsto extremely poor households to improve their health, nutrition andeducation particularly of children aged 0-14. The Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program is a flagship project of the Arroyo administration in reducing poverty through investment in human capital. A household-beneficiary can receive as much as P1,400 for a maximum of 3 children that includes P500 per month for nutrition and health expenses and P300 per month per child with a maximum of 3 children per household for educational expenses.
