ALABEL, Sarangani (April 18, 2009) – Vice Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon and Umair Hasan, Humanitarian Program Coordinator of the international organization Oxfam, sign a memorandum of agreement Friday, April 17, for the donation of early warning system devices to Sarangani “to reduce disaster risk”. The project is supported by the European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid Department through its Disaster Preparedness Program. Included in the early warning system devices and operations equipment are 1 unit Laserjet printer, 1 unit laptop, 2 units Garmin E Trex H GPS, 2 units Audioworks AMR-16HS 20W round horn with siren megaphone, 3 units Sharp Karaoke System and 4 units Digital Rain Gauges.
