MAITUM, Sarangani (May 4, 2009) – Marine biologist and university professor Alfonso “Dong” Pading Jr. (center), 1st Placer in the five-year old Maitum Safari Photo Contest, receives his award Monday, May 4. With Pading, who also won 4th and 5th places, are (from right) 3rd Placer Carlito Flores, 2nd Placer Ronald Velasquez, Mayor Elsie Perrett, Vice Mayor Tito Balazon, and photo contest organizer Beth Ramos Palma Gil, municipal accountant. The cash prizes are P10,000 for 1st, P8,000 – 2nd, P6,000 – 3rd, and P4,000 – 4th, donated by private individuals who support the peace and development efforts of the municipality.
