Gov. Migs names Mayor Lopez as MAKIMA deputy governor

ALABEL, Sarangani (June 30, 2010) – Governor Migs Dominguez yesterdaydesignated outgoing Maasim Mayor Aniceto Lopez Jr. as Deputy to the Governor of the Maitum-Kiamba-Maasim (MAKIMA) area effective July 1.

The governor issued Executive Order No. 001, Series of 2010, namingLopez his deputy for MAKIMA affairs “in the exigency of the service;and in order to strengthen and enhance the monitoring, liaison,coordination, assistance and socio-political work of the undersigned in the pursuit of good governance.”

Lopez, who ends his three terms as mayor today, “shall be responsibleand report directly to the undersigned regarding his duties and/orwork assignments and tasks,” Dominguez said.

“All officials and employees of the provincial government are hereby enjoined to extend their fullest cooperation and support to Mr.Lopez,” according to the executive order.

Lopez shall be entitled to a compensation to be determined later which shall be chargeable to the appropriate budget item of the Office ofthe Governor and such benefits as may be allowed under government accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

“This executive order takes effect on July 1, 2010 and shall remain inforce unless or until amended, superseded or revoked by competent authority. All previous executive orders, memorandum orders and/ormemoranda pertinent hereto or parts thereof that are contrary to or are in conflict with this order are hereby deemed amended, superseded or revoked accordingly,” Dominguez said.
