MNLF checkpoint

MAASIM, Sarangani (March 5, 2007) – Mayor Aniceto Lopez Jr. leads PNP C/Supt. Felizardo Serapio, peace and development advocate Juvie Apit, and Governor Migs Dominguez (flanked from left) as they pass by an MNLF checkpoint. The officials attended the 1 st Peace Build Project launching and ground breaking ceremony in Barangay Lumatil Monday, March 5, for 50 housing units intended for the town's former Moro National Liberation Front combatants. The project sponsored by the provincial and municipal government, General Santos City Habitat for Humanity Inc. and Act for Peace Program aims to bring peace while building homes in the countryside.
