MAITUM, Sarangani (May 6, 2008) – Spectators watch a horsefight (bugno sa kabayo) Monday, May 5, during the Binuyugan Festival of Maitum. Maitum marks its 49th Foundation Anniversary on May 7 and celebrates Binuyugan, coming from the Ilocano word "buyog" which means that because of God's blessing and guidance, coupled with its people's cooperation and participation, Maitum has grown and developed to what it is today amidst diversities in culture, belief, and religion.
