GLAN, Sarangani (October 9, 2009) – President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo speaks before thousands of Glan residents and visitors at the town’s 95th foundation rites and Lubi-lubi Festival. The President awarded the certificate of turnover of 130 bags of open pollinated variety of assorted corn seeds worth P78,000 to Sarangani farmers under the Ginintuang Masaganang Ani and corn programs, and the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) certificate of turnover for 3,440 bags of salt fertilizers for coconut worth P1.1 million for 830 coconut farmers beneficiaries of Glan.
