MAITUM, Sarangani (May 5, 2008) – Maitum Town Hall is the center of activity as the municipality celebrates its 9th Binuyugan Festival on May 5-7 and culminating the town's 49th Foundation Anniversary on May 7. Maitum was in the spotlight recently for the discovery of another archaeological site, Sagel Cave, in barangay Pinol. This discovery of artifacts similar to that found in Ayub Cave, the now-famous Maitum Jars displayed at the National Museum, inspired the theme this year – "Linking Progress to Prehistory."
