MAITUM, Sarangani (august 25, 2009) – Municipal councilor Kubli Kusin, chair of agriculture committee, and municipal agriculturist Eddie Ampodia accompany a member of the Upland Development Program (UDP) visiting team around the Lamlunay Research and Learning Center Wednesday, August 19, on a post-completion evaluation mission of all UDP projects. The team was impressed because of the sustained learning sites in Upo, the existence of a farmers’ cooperative, and presence of land-use based Barangay Development Program. UDP's objectives are to develop replicable models for sustaining upland resource base and improve the standard of living of communities who derive most of their income from the uplands.
