MAITUM, Sarangani (August 2, 2008) – Members (foreground) of the Fleischer Estate Integrated Multipurpose Cooperative (FEIMCO) demonstrate bionet-making Friday, August 1, to visitors from Mozambique. The visiting team led by Pons Batugal, president of Farmers' Community Development Federation based in Los Baños, Laguna are observing how coconuts are made into a range of geotextile products like doormats and bionets. Congressman Erwin Chiongbian has installed power lines for FEIMCO to expand its coco coir project. FEIMCO is also recipient of P2.5-million fund for biodiversity and environment preservation from United Nations Development Program.
