Steve Chiongbian Solon (right) leads police and military officials in giving cash assistance to former rebels Friday, August 8, at the provincial Capitol. Twenty-two former rebels of the CPP/NPA's Far South Mindanao Regional Command were each given P20,000 cash assistance through the Social Integration Program (SIP) of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process represented by Atty. As the rebels are integrated back into the society, they are given livelihood projects that would benefit not only their families but also the communities to where they belong.
