MAASIM, Sarangani (September 20, 2007) – Gov. Migs Dominguez inspects the boat-making facility Wednesday (September 19) in barangay Lumasal where the Community-Based Forest Management (CBFM) project of Lumasal-Pananag Integrated Ecological Resources Multi-Purpose Cooperative provides jobs to Indigenous People, Muslim and Christian residents by building large fishing boats. The CBFM project is Sarangani's lone wood-based project for value-added lumber products. The CBFM boat-making facility has been issued a Resource Use Permit by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources with close monitoring by the same agency.
