Footbridge from U.S

MALAPATAN, Sarangani (September 24, 2007) – Children cross the new footbridge during its formal opening Friday, September 21. The bridge, built by the municipal government of Malapatan and the USAID's Growth with Equity in Mindanao Program, is designed to increase the economic competitiveness of underdeveloped communities, create employment opportunities, and boost rural productivity levels. Until recently, farmers and traders of barangay Libi had difficulty transporting their agricultural products across a 36-meter wide river.
