MALUNGON, Sarangani (August 26, 2006) - Students from Holy Trinity College of Gen. Santos City show the narra seedlings they are about to plant in the highway of Sarangani province Friday in participation to the Green Philippine Highways Project of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. 8,200 trees were planted by thousands of participants in the 42 kms. of national highway which traverse the Municipality of Malungon . The Green Philippine Highway Project aims to plant 50 million trees along the major thoroughfares nationwide to contain air pollution caused by at least 5 million registered motor vehicles in the country.
