Mayor George yabes with Galing Pook Award

MAITUM, Sarangani (October 21, 2006) – Mayor George Yabes shows the award from the United Nations Development Programme and Galing Pook Foundation conferring Maitum a special citation on local capacity innovations for the Millennium Development Goals. Mayor Yabes received the award on October 16 in Marikina City. The awards ceremony also marked the international campaign by the United Nations called "Stand Up Against Poverty."
