GENERAL SANTOS CITY (September 4, 2005) – Rudy Abayon from Tarragona, Davao Oriental races to the finish line Sunday (Sept. 3) at Lion’s Beach in General Santos to win the annual Bancarera staged by Bombo Radyo in celebration of the Tuna Festival. Abayon, who had to sail 10 hours from Davao Oriental to General Santos City, bested 38 other entries from all over Mindanao.
